Compassion is a form of Love that God has had upon all humanity. God's greatest act of compassion for the human race was when he sent his Son, Jesus Christ to die for the sins of the whole world. This compassion moved Jesus to not just die for his followers, but for those who were not his followers as well. We will see in St. Matt. 9:36 when Jesus is moved with Compassion for those who are weary and scattered.
