Monday Apr 18, 2022
Hello Thrivers! Welcome to another week of Discipleship Matters! I want to talk to you this week about Being Justified by Faith and how Jesus Christ came and made a great exchange for us. Our sins for his justification was the Great Exchange. So now what should we do with our justification? We should continue to do what Jesus did because we are His disciples. One of our privileges as a disciple is to tell someone else that they too are justified and all they have to do to receive their justification is to repent of their sins and receive the Finished work that Jesus Christ did for us all. Listen, I pray that this episode blesses you and please share, subscribe and leave me a review. Blessings to you all!

Monday Mar 28, 2022
Hello Thrivers! Thank you for joining me again for another week of the Discipleship Matters Podcast Show. Please share, subscribe and leave a review , I would love to hear from you all. This week, we are talking about Perseverance in Persecution. Often times, we are not told that when we join the Kingdom of God that we will be persecuted. Persecution comes in many different ways but our mind must be made up to Persevere. To persevere means to "go through it"! It means to persist in a state, enterprise or undertaking in spite of counter influences, opposition or discouragement. Jesus informed the disciples that the world persecuted him and they would persecute them. Believe it or not, there are also great rewards in heaven for being persecuted for Christ' sake. As you listen, I pray that you are encouraged and inspired to persevere any persecution that you maybe going through today. And always remember that God is with you through it all. Please keep the Ukraine in our prayers. Blessings to you All.

When Persecution turns into a Discipleship Opportunity
Tuesday Mar 22, 2022
Tuesday Mar 22, 2022
Blessings Thrivers! We are back for another episode of Discipleship Matters. This week we are going to be talking about how persecution can be such a horrible thing but it is actually a part of the disciples' journey. We find that in Daniel, chapter 6 that Daniel is targeted for persecution but he is prepared for it. Daniel exhibited an Excellent Spirit that was faithful, bold and led King Darius to the almighty God. Then King Darius made a new decree that the whole kingdom must serve Daniel's God. So not only did King Darius become a believer, but the whole kingdom where he ruled worshipped the almighty God. Although persecution is tough, it can open up a door for someone to learn and follow Jesus Christ. Go through persecution and watch God deliver and rescue you just as he did with Daniel. Blessings to you all, Judge

Compassion For Others
Tuesday Mar 15, 2022
Tuesday Mar 15, 2022
Compassion is a form of Love that God has had upon all humanity. God's greatest act of compassion for the human race was when he sent his Son, Jesus Christ to die for the sins of the whole world. This compassion moved Jesus to not just die for his followers, but for those who were not his followers as well. We will see in St. Matt. 9:36 when Jesus is moved with Compassion for those who are weary and scattered. Join me today on Discipleship Matters Podcast Show as we dive into this scripture and learn what did Jesus do for those weary and scattered. Let's talk about it on Discipleship Matters.

Developing a Capacity to Love- Part 2
Tuesday Feb 08, 2022
Tuesday Feb 08, 2022
Hello Thrivers, welcome back and I pray that you had a great week! This recording concludes our lesson on Developing a Capacity to Love. There are so many opportunities that we have to love others and we are actually commanded to love others by Jesus in St. John 13:34 and St. John 15:12, just to name a couple. It is of the utmost importance that we learn to love others as Jesus has loved us. The greatest way to develop a capacity to love others is to simply remember the love that he has for you! We will also learn that some of us have a capacity, but the problem is that it is filled with other things. Such as our agenda, ourselves, our ideas, etc. There is a place for all of that, but it should never take up the place that should be filled with God's love for someone else. As disciples of Jesus Christ, it is our opportunity and responsibility to love others to Christ and he will do any cleaning that they need through his Word according to St. John 15:3. I pray that you will be inspired and ignited by this show and Please don't forget to Like, Comment, Subscribe, and Share. Have a Great Week Thrivers!!

Developing a Capacity to Love Unbelievers
Tuesday Feb 01, 2022
Tuesday Feb 01, 2022
Hello Thrivers! On this episode of Discipleship Matters podcast show, I want to expose one of the major reasons why some Christians don't know how to love those who are not Christians. Some of us lack the capacity to love like Jesus and it is because we have not developed this capacity out of the love that Jesus has for us. Are we simply suppose to love those who are already following Christ? Jesus tells us in St. Matthew 5:46- "There is no reward in loving those who love you". Jesus died for us while we were still sinners according to Romans 5:8 so this verse proves that he didn't just love those who loved him, but we were sinners, his enemy, and he still died for us. This first episode gives some basic highlights in learning how to develop a capacity to love the unbeliever, but share, subscribe and stay with me as we walk deeper in learning how to develop a capacity to love on Discipleship Matters podcast show.

Freedom!
Thursday Jan 13, 2022
Thursday Jan 13, 2022
Hello Thrivers! I'm back and ready to talk with you today about Freedom! Please don't forget to share, subscribe and like the Discipleship Matters Podcast show and thank you in advance. This week, let's talk about our Spiritual Freedom! How important is it to be free in your spirit and how do we gain that freedom? It is already a struggle when a person knows that they are in bondage, but it makes matters worse when someone who should be leading them to freedom is JUDGING them. In St. John 8:15, Jesus tells the religious leaders that they judge according to the flesh, but He does not judge. This means that they were judging from their fleshly perspective and judging others from their outward actions. In other words, they judge from fleshly suspicions and not by love. Jesus says, "I do not judge, but if I did, it would be true." Let us love others instead of judging others. Let us welcome the lost instead of pushing them away by our fleshly assumptions which breeds judgment. I was taught by my first Pastor, the Late Archie Lee Miller,Sr., " We are suppose to catch the fish(mankind) , but God's word does the cleaning. St. John 15:3 therefore, judging cannot work in the equation of love. I hope that you enjoy this episode of Discipleship Matters Podcast Show.
